If you’re anything like me, Aldi is the place to go when you need dinner ideas that are affordable, simple, and don’t require a million ingredients.

I love that you can walk in with a loose plan and still leave with everything you need for several weeknight meals without blowing your grocery budget.

These Aldi dinner ideas are all easy to throw together, super satisfying, and perfect for those nights when you just want something good on the table fast.

Below are some of my favorite go to dinners you can easily make with Aldi finds.

Spinach & Sausage Gnocchi

This spinach and sausage gnocchi is one of those meals that feels a little fancy but takes barely any effort.

Aldi’s shelf stable gnocchi is so affordable and pairing it with Italian sausage makes it hearty and filling.

RECIPE: I use the One Pan Creamy Gnocchi with Sausage recipe from Salt & Lavender blog. I do swap the white wine for chicken bone broth/mustard (as she notes in the blog post) and add spinach at the end for some greens.

Toss in some fresh spinach at the end so it wilts down, and finish everything with a splash of cream and a sprinkle of parmesan.

*note: could not find basil at my Aldi so went to Food Lion for that!

It’s a one pan dinner that’s cozy, comforting, and perfect for busy nights.

Chicken Sandwiches & Fries

You truly can’t go wrong with chicken sandwiches and fries, especially when Aldi makes it so easy.

I know I know, it’s not the healthiest, but everything in moderation, amirite?

Grab frozen breaded chicken fillets, bake or air fry them until crispy, and serve on buns with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

Add a side of seasoned fries and dinner is done.

This one’s always a hit with kids and adults, and it’s great for nights when you want something fun but low effort.

Southwest Salads

When you’re craving something lighter but still filling, southwest salads are such a good option.

Aldi has the best bag of organic romaine lettuce which is the base I use.

Top it with grilled chicken tenders, black beans, corn, peppers and cheese.

Finish with a creamy southwest or chipotle dressing.

It’s fresh, flavorful, and comes together in minutes.

Baked Ravioli & A Simple Frozen Veggie

I’ve been loving Aldi’s five cheese Ravioli.

This bakes up with a pack of hamburger meat and mozzzarella cheese so easily. Also grab a jar of marinara.

RECIPE: I use the Baked Ravioli recipe from Salt & Lavender blog.

Pick your favorite frozen veggie to pair it with. I did green peas.

Simple Pork Chops, Roasted or Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans

This is a classic, no fail dinner that’s perfect for a full family meal.

Season pork chops simply and bake or pan sear them until juicy.

Add roasted or mashed potatoes and green beans seasoned with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

It’s simple, comforting, and feels like a real sit down dinner without being complicated.

Sesame Chicken and Broccoli

Sesame chicken makes weeknight dinners so easy.

Bake or air fry the chicken into cubes, steam or roast some broccoli, and toss everything together with the orange chicken sauce.

Serve it over these Aldi packs of rice.

This one is perfect when you’re craving something flavorful but don’t want to order out.

(I included onions in the ingredient photo but then decided not to add them into the recipe.)

Chicken & Tortellini Soup

This soup was SO good. Grab chicken breast, celery, carrots, Aldi chicken broth and Aldi’s cheese tortellini.

Recipe I Used: Chicken Tortellini Soup

It turned out really great! Plus, there was plenty for leftovers the next night.

Pair this with a crusty loaf of sourdough bread for a delicious, filling dinner.

Crockpot Fajita Quesadillas

These turned out GREAT. So easy since you throw everything in the crockpot!

The only thing that takes time is crisping them up on the stovetop, but you can skip that step if you want.

The filling would also go great over rice or hard taco shells.

Hibachi Chicken & Veggies

For this I bought a large pack of chicken breast, jasmine rice, carrots, onion zucchini, and broccoli!

Throw everything on the black stone grill (or stove top) and whip up some homemade yum yum sauce to go with it.

Homemade Hamburger Helper (and I served it with a simple little side salad!)

Ugh, I forgot to take a picture of the ingredients but they are so simple! You can grab EVERYTHING you need from Aldi.

This actually looked way better in person (I hate that the photo doesn’t do it justice) but the recipe was killer so I had to share.

My husband ate two huge servings!

Conclusion

These Aldi dinner ideas are proof that you don’t need a complicated recipe or expensive ingredients to make good meals at home.

Whether you’re in the mood for comfort food, something lighter, or a quick crowd pleaser, Aldi has everything you need to make weeknight dinners easier.
