The best way to spruce up your front porch is by changing the front door paint color. It’s an instant facelift and a fresh coat of paint is relatively cheap and easy to do.

There are so many color choices out there for your front door that it can be helpful to see some real life examples of what others have done. This post is here to help provide you with that!

Below you’ll find images of front door paint colors in popular colors from real people and real homes to give you a few ideas of colors you could use or find something similar to. Let’s find the best front door colors!

1. Greek Villa by Sherwin Williams

Ashley painted her front door the best color – with Sherwin Williams Greek Villa. This is our favorite shade of white for a front door since it really comes to life in sunshine. It’s a creamy and absolutely stunning white door.

Especially if the rest of the house is wood, tan, brown, or a colored vinyl, white is a fantastic choice for the front door. It brightens things up and adds to the character of the existing elements.

2. Brick Facade by Valspar

Laurel opted for a brick color to match her red brick home! We especially love how this shade looks with brick. You can find numerous “brick” colors similar to this from other popular brands as well. Instead of a harsh bright red door, brick is a great compromise.

3. Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore

Black is a chic option for your front door exterior paint. Kylie is one of those interior designers who feature a ton of helpful content on her website. In this post, she’s showing how Wrought Iron was used on this front door.

We think it could quickly become one of the most popular front door colors.

Morgan opted for Quiet Moments by Benjamin Moore to use on her front door makeover! This color is so stunning for a soft pop of color that still looks subtle and muted.

You can find this color at most Benjamin Moore stores. Don’t forget to grab samples and test it out first for best results.

5. Rich Navy Blue (This one is Americana Curb Appeal in New England Navy)

I love the idea of using a rich navy blue color. Colleen updated her front porch with this stunning shade (which is Americana Curb Appeal in New England Navy) but since it’s an older color from a smaller brand I’m leaving a few very similar options from Sherwin William and Benjamin Moore down below.

I mainly wanted you to see how gorgeous navy blue can be. You can grab samples for a few different navy shades and see which one works best for you.

7. Anchors Aweigh by Sherwin Williams

Shara painted her front door with Anchors Aweigh by Sherwin Williams and we think it turned out great! This has become a popular blue for exteriors in general, but sticking to just the front door is a safer option compared to painting your entire exterior this dashing color.

10. Anew Gray by Sherwin Williams

While we know this image isn’t a front door, just imagine that this door was on the exterior of a house. Wouldn’t it be a pretty tone? So, we wanted to show it off anyways even though it’s a little different!

This door is painted Anew Gray by Sherwin Williams. Liz nailed it by selecting this color! It can certainly be used as interior paints or exterior. If your personal style is warm and comforting colors, take a second look at Anew Gray.

11. Greenwich Village from Behr

Chelsea has a stunning front door that she admits she’s working on (like cleaning the paint off the glass on the door🙈 and replacing 2 rotten boards and maybe adding gutters and attaching a shade sailcloth.) but we think the door color alone is gorgeous!

She opted for Greenwich Village from the brand Behr. A light blue like this is a coastal lover’s dream!

13. Oak Stained Front Door with Accents

While this front door isn’t an actual “paint color” since it’s stain, we loved the overall look of this front door and wanted to share all the details.

Don’t be afraid to pick an oak color for your front door and stain it a natural tone for something simplistic.

Here are the details from Core Interior Designer – “Sherwin Williams Pure White for the siding, Dover White for case, trim, & headers, Black Magic for windows and garage door.

Client requested a dreamy sophisticated front door. We went with a custom white oakish gray stain as well a soft green gray for the entry case surround. New exterior wall sconces from Troy Lighting to add more drama! Beautiful family, beautiful home sweet home.”
